Rembembering and a great book
Today marks the 95th anniversary of the Halifax Explosion.
On this day in 1917, the Norwegian supply ship Imo collided with the French munitions ship Mont-Blanc, causing the largest man-made explosion the world had ever seen and killing almost 2,000 people.
We take a moment today to remember all those affected by the explosion.
If you are interested in a great book written about a small isolated shore village in Nova Scotia, I encourage you to read
The Birth House
It is a fantastic book and some may recall post's I have written about Scots Bay,this is the village the book is based.
You will find tidbits about the Halifax Explosion in this book.
